Asia Blackwell MS CCC-SLP


Asia Blackwell is a certified speech-language pathologist based in Baltimore, MD.  She received her bachelor's and master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Hearing Sciences from Loyola University Maryland. Her diverse experience across settings including skilled nursing  facilities, public schools, and outpatient clinics allows her to be able to provide quality therapy. Asia believes in a holistic based approach to meet the needs of her clients at every stage in life.


  • Licensed by the Maryland Department of Health for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association

  • Certified provider of the Simon Says program including Tongue tips therapy protocol, Tiny tongue tips (Early intervention/play-based approach), and Thumbs up!  (Sucking elimination program)

  • Certified in Myofascial Release, hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion

  • Certified in VitalStim®, a non-invasive therapy to help swallowing through the use of Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES)

  • Competency in Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES)

  • Basic Life Support Certified, American Heart Association
